Hungry Head Cabins are unique as they are situated amongst the rare littoral rainforest only a couple of minutes walk to the unpopulated Hungry Head Beach. The Hungry Head Reserve is sheltered behind the Surf Club and observation platform adjacent to the cabins. If you want to enjoy the typical Australian bush and beach setting, Hungry Head Cabins is the ideal place to visit.

Whilst staying at Hungry Head Cabins or whilst visiting the Reserve, it is not unusual to be visited by any of the wildlife that are lucky enough to call Hungry Head Reserve their home. Kangaroos, wallabies, possums, bandicoots, kookaburras, currawongs and many other species of bird and animal like also frequent the area.
